We offer emergency service for all brands and models of tankless water heaters including Bosch, Navien, Noritz, State, Rheem, Rinnai, and more. Tankless water heaters offer great efficiency and unlimited hot water but they are technically advanced. Proper servicing of tankless water heater systems, regardless of brand, require extensive training, parts support, and years of experience. Most tankless water heater problems are related to improper installation, water quality problems, and lack of required maintenance.

Tankless water heater service problems include

Installation Issues:

  • Gas Supply: Intermittent flame failures caused by gas pressure problems. This is often caused by improper design of the gas piping system for your home or business.
  • Improper Venting: Blocked or obstructed air inlet or venting typically caused by heavy snow or improper installation.
  • Condensate Issues: Higher efficiency tankless units produce condensation. This water needs to be removed from the unit and system vented and properly disposed of. If the venting system is improperly pitched, or not disposed of properly, this can cause system failures.

Maintenance or Water Quality Issues:

  • Clogged Inlet Water Filter: Inlet water filters can become obstructed reducing water pressure and water flow. Homeowners can clean inlet filters. If this is a recurring problem, you may want to install a larger pre-filter in the water heater supply line.
  • Scale build-up: Causing reduced water flow, efficiency, and capacity. Water quality plays a key role in scale accumulation. If your water has a high calcium carbonate content, you will want to flush your tankless water heater on a schedule, or take steps to reduce the calcium content of your incoming potable water.
  • Changes in Hot Water Quality: Changes in wait times for hot water or fluctuating outlet water temperatures are often caused by scale of water filter problems.
  • Noise: Tankless water heaters are usually quiet. New noises or louder operation would indicate a service issue.
